Did you know that condoms are one of the most controlled products in Brazil? The Ministry of Health,(Anvisa) and Inmetro take control of our quality and our production line pass through more than 25 control steps before reaching the ideal quality standards.
Insuflação
Burst volume and burst pressure.
This randomized test is carried out in our acclimatized laboratory. A machine insufflates air inside the condom at a constant flow, registering the pressure and air volume at the burst moment. In both cases, Blowtex results exceed the minimum required by norm.
Compare:
Air Volume:
Inmetro Requirements: 18 liters (minimum)
Blowtex Results: 34,5 liters (average)
Pressure:
Inmetro Requirements: 1,0 Kpa
Blowtex Results: média de 2,12 Kpa
Eletronic Test
Pinhole detection.
The electronic test detects pinholes and 100% of our production is tested. All the condoms are individually tested by being placed in metallic molds that pass through a high voltage conductor.
The latex condom insulates the mold, avoiding the passage of electricity. The electric voltage will pass only through pinholes and will automatically detect defects and reject the condom by an electronic system.
Only approved condoms pass to the next phase.
Teste de vazamento
Package integrity and lubricant leakage
This randomized test is also carried out in our acclimatized laboratory. The condom is settled in a support and filled with an electrolytic solution and inserted automatically in a container containing the same solution.
The support contains an electrode. Then an electric current is applied to it with a tension of 50 mV or higher. If the current passes through the condoms detecting pinholes, the condom and all the lot is rejected.
Integrity test
Package foil leakage verifying test.
This last randomized test is carried out in our acclimatized laboratory and verifies eventual lubricant leaks in the package foil. The foiled condom is placed in a transparent container containing water and a vacuum of 20+/- 5 Kpa is applied for 1 minute. Lubricant leaks are detected by the appearance of bubbles in the water.
Our condoms are produced by the most advanced technology available and are submitted for rigorous quality tests in our own laboratory. Blowtex condoms are duly registered in the Brazilian Health Ministry and exceed all the requirements established by international quality standards.
All the individual and sample tests results exceed the Inmetro RDC-03 norm requirements , allowing our products to carry Inmetro, Institute Falcao Bauer, and ISO 9001:2000 certification seals.
